How to Cancel a Redemption Step by Step

Canceling a redemption can be straightforward if you follow the right steps:

  1. Log In to Rewardsweb: First, log in to your account and go to the “My Transactions” section.

  2. Select Redemption to Cancel: Find the specific redemption that you want to cancel and verify if it is still eligible for cancellation (this will depend on time and reward status).

  3. Follow the Instructions: If eligible, follow the on-screen prompts to cancel the redemption. Always make sure to check for any confirmation messages or emails.

Note: Not all redemptions are eligible for cancellation; once a certain processing stage is reached, a redemption might become irreversible.


Why Can’t I Cancel a Redemption?

There are multiple reasons why you might not be able to cancel a redemption:

  1. Processing Stage: Some redemptions cannot be canceled once they have reached a specific processing stage. For example, if the reward has already been issued or shipped, it is no longer cancelable.

  2. Time Limits: Redemptions often have strict time limits for cancellation eligibility. If too much time has passed since the redemption request, cancellation may not be possible.

  3. Merchant Restrictions: Some merchants impose their own terms, which may include no cancellations or limited cancellation opportunities. Always review merchant-specific guidelines before making a redemption.
